My First Day

The doctors quickly wheeled me off through a long hallway and into another room. Wheeee!
When they wheeled me in I heard a grown up say "Wow, that's a big one!" All around me were these tiny little babies in incubators -- some weighing no more than 800 grams.
Now was my time to step on the scales. I weighed in at a hefty 1.33 kilos! Not bad for a 29-week-old baby!
I had a bit of trouble at first figuring out how to use my body as you can see in this photo but eventually I got things straightened out.
I wasn't exactly too happy at that stage and I was wailing at the top of my lungs -- well, whatever lungs I had at the time. They weren't very well developed, you know.
I didn't much like what happened next ...
