My Caretakers
I really can't think of a better place I'd rather be right now than at the Women's and Children's Hospital in Adelaide. The service here is sensational!
First of all the accomodations are top notch. The Queen Victoria Building is a newly completed wing that now adjoins the Children's Hospital. All the equipment here is top notch.
The 'team' here think I'm really special and someone watches over me 24 hours a day. At first someone was watching me -- and only me -- around the clock. But now I'm trucking along quite well so they can spend some more time with my mates as well.
One of my favorite midwives is Kate. She thinks I'm 'absolutely gorgeous'. I like her! Daddy and Mummy like her too. Like all the midwives here Kate is always more than happy to explain exactly how I'm doing and what all these tubes leading into me are about. Every time Dad and Mum see Kate they feel good because she makes them feel confident that I'm doing just fine.
However on my fifth day I gave my folks the scare of their lives ...
